vassago's shrine

vassago is the third out of 72 demons listed in the "the lesser key of solom", which to my knowledge is a section in the first of five anonymously authored books this one named "Ars Goetia". vassago's gender is unclear to me cause some witches have led me to beleive they are a woman but the original text refers to him as a man so I will be doing so to. vassago's personality is extremely good natured despite being a fallen angel to the point that in "the book of office spirits" he's referred to as an angel names Ussago. vassago's abilities/powers consist of revealing hidden truths about the past present and future and finding things, both of his powers are extremely broad specifically finding things. finding things can range anywhere from helping you find a lost pen to helping you find your soulmate, either way its can be extremely useful.

why do I worship vassago?

I worship vassago like anyone else, with the intent of building our relationship enough for him to be willing to work with me, for currently he declines any job offer I give him. I chose vassago mostly because he was the first demon that caught my eye and I didnt wanna go through all 72 demons in Ars goetia when I'd probably just end up back with vassago, but thats not the only reason. I also chose vassago cause his abilities are very broad and that allows me to be very specific with what I want to achieve

this is probably just paranoia especially cause I just read somones blog on how to know if your talking to a malicious entity and it mentioned that if the entity is telling you exactly what you want to hear all of the time it might not be who you think it is which is what happened today. I was using tarrot cards to communicate with vassago and he told me almost exactly what I hoped (besides the fact he was being kinda mysterious but thats probably just bad communication), but other than that nothing super intresting it was just a normal convo and I'm pretty happy with what he told me so yeah.

this page is probably going to be re-made into a log for wiccan(ism?) in genral since I believe I frustrated him/her. I'm not sure when or why, but I feel vassago has stopped talking to me within these past months. I think this because recently during lets say tarot pulling the responces i'm getting from him have become very random and unhelpful. this along with the urge to expand my craft is going to lead me to work on my divination skills, finding my patron deity/demon, and working on fortune telling to figure out why and if he left.

I'm writing this on 1 AM of 1/29/25 as a final entry in this ( for now ;) ), anyways I had severly missjudged what a relationship between a person and a deity shoudld look like which lead me to mak some very stupid choices. I had found that I was essentially using vassago, and after apologizing sometime in december of last year I put away my ouija board, and I havent done any deity work since. I have given offerings in the form of spells, but full on contacting a deity is something I 100% believe I need to work on. I made a big mistake, and now i'm owning up to it.

how was I using him/her though?

first of all I decided that my own interpretation of him/her was the only correct interpretation, which doesnt fall under the catagory of using him/her, but still I shouldnt have done it. furthermore I associated the seal of vassago (the one at the bottom of the page) with him/her, because I believed it to be his/her sigil. the seal there was invented by a jewish prophet and king named solomon that is and was known for using seals to trap daemons/demons/deities, and use them for his avantage. the worst thing I did was treat him/her like a buisness partner, I acted like our relationship was simple and straight forward: I give him/her an offering, and he/she gives me something in return. I now realize that a deity/human relationship should be no less important than a human/human relationship.
